Conquest of Makkah

The conquest of Mecca took place on 11 January 630AD or 20 Ramadan, 8 AH.

This was when the Prophet saw took back the land of his birthplace.

The journery started on the 6th Ramadan and the Prophet saw and his companions entered Mecca on the 18th Ramadan,

In 628 CE, the Meccan tribe of Quraysh and the Muslim community in Medina signed a 10-year truce called the Treaty of Hudaybiyah.  This was to ensure peace in the city.
